Fund-raising for First Opportunities, Ashley - Joanna Hayward

Fund-raising for First Opportunities, Ashley

The Mayor of New Milton, Cllr David Hawkins, is hosting a Charity Ball in aid of First Opportunities, Ashley; supporting this local independent charity in providing therapeutic play and education for babies and young children with special needs.

Cllr Hawkins is calling on local people to support the ball which will be held at Shorefields Holiday Park on Saturday 27 February 2016.   The theme of the event is 1940’s and the celebrations marking the end of WWII, so it’s the perfect excuse to dress up, get on the dance floor to the Pete Weston Dance Band, and reminisce about the culinary adaptability of wartime Britain.  All this fun is offered to help with raising much needed funds for First Opportunities.

Further information is available from New Milton Town Council on 01425 619120.

Cllr Hawkins is pictured presenting a cheque of £175.00 to the First Opportunities Playgroup; received from donations given at New Milton’s Annual Christmas Carol Service in December.
