CHANGES TO RECYCLING BANKS March 31, 2017

New Forest District Council have made changes to the network of recycling banks in the New Forest in March, including New Milton.

This is the text from their website –

There are currently around 100 sites across the New Forest where residents can recycle paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars. Many of the sites also have privately-run textile banks or book banks.

What changes are going to happen?

The number of recycling banks will be reduced to a network of 20 sites in the most frequently-used locations. The work to remove the banks from other locations should be completed by the end of March 2017.

We are making these changes because more can be recycled at home following the introduction of household glass collections.

The 20 remaining sites will have banks for glass bottles and jars and banks for paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, tins, cans and aerosols; the same as the clear sack.

Which sites will stay open?

Twenty of the sites will stay open to use for extra recycling. These remaining sites will have banks for glass bottles and jars and banks for paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, tins, cans and aerosols; the same as the clear sack.

These are the sites open in New Milton
