PRESS RELEASE – BE INVOLVED - Joanna Hayward March 29, 2017

PRESS RELEASE – BE INVOLVED

 A free weekend festival –

showing you what you can get up to in New Milton!

Be Involved – both an invitation and the name of a festival weekend on 16/17 September packed with information, performances and displays to promote the wide array of community activities available to people of all ages and abilities in the New Milton area. The festival, being held at the Memorial Centre and Recreation Ground, will follow a week of taster events and demos in venues around New Milton.

This will be an easy way to find out more about classes, activities and groups in the town – to see which activities to be involved with – to meet class teachers and other members – to find out which activities are right for you.

Whatever your interest or goal, there will be something for everyone. Everyone is invited to Be Involved in an event that challenges you to try something new, learn a new skill, get creative, be more active, get fitter, make new friends. Or just have fun watching the displays and performances along with the community of New Milton.

Backed by Big Lottery funding, the event is being organised by a number of community groups including the Forest Arts Centre, Community Centre, New Milton Residents’ Association and New Milton Town Partnership.

The website is launched at Be Involved and will be updated as the programme develops and exhibitors confirmed.

All organisers, teachers and leaders in New Milton are invited to register their interest at Be Involved.

The New Milton Advertiser is Official Media Partner for the event.
