Tuesday 8th December, Press Release
 | On Tuesday 8th December, NFDC Councillor Paul Woods visited the SCARF Youth Club to present a cheque for £500 to provide valuable funds for the group. Cllr Woods met some of the young people with special needs who attend the weekly club at the Young Farmers Club at Tiptoe where they have a chance to meet, play games and do arts and crafts activities with their friends, aged 11- 16. Cllr Woods had chosen to make the donation from his councillor's Community Engagement Grant to the group when he found out about the unique and vital work that SCARF does for disabled children and their families in the New Forest area. Thomas Hind (14) of New Milton, who received the cheque on behalf of SCARF, when asked about the youth club, commented 'I love it.' The Youth Club started two years ago thanks to grants from the Society of Friends and the Gannett Foundation. |
