Today, 10 July, marks the 103rd anniversary of the unveiling of the Indian Memorial Obelisk at Barton on Sea in 1917. Indian Soldiers wounded and injured during the early days of WW1 were sent to Barton to convalesce. Following the departure of the Indian Soldiers in 1916, the Obelisk was commissioned by staff donations and unveiled on 10 July 1917. We will remember them.
