Getting Ready for Referendum

Getting Ready for Referendum

Press Release

Sharing the exciting vision for New Milton is the key message in the lead up to the New Milton Neighbourhood Plan Referendum taking place on Thursday 6 May.

Drop-in sessions have been arranged to take place on Market Wednesdays 14 & 21 April and 5 May on Station Road, New Milton, when members of the Neighbourhood Plan team will be available for a chat about the Plan.

All residents are asked to look out for a leaflet being delivered to all households in the BH25 area in the week commencing 26 April – and if they don’t receive it, to contact New Milton Town Council by email and we’ll email a copy to you straight away.

The Community Vision is for affordable new homes, new community facilities, enhancing our green spaces, a new youth facility – with something for everyone in our community to enjoy.  The New Milton Neighbourhood Plan document can be viewed at

New Milton’s Town Development Manager, Suna King, said

“Town Centre regeneration is key to ensuring New Milton has a vibrant town centre for the future – a social hub for shopping, leisure, health and wellbeing, new employment, new eateries and family-friendly pubs  – with daytime and evening activities for all ages.”

New Miltonians are encouraged to participate in the Referendum to ensure success  in realising this exciting Community Vision.
