COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Following notification from the National Association of Local Councils, from 7 May 2021 public meetings will no longer be considered legal. This is despite a challenge lost in the High Court recently.

 

Therefore we are now meeting in a physical setting and due to current social distancing need, this cannot be in the Town Hall. We have hired a town centre venue which is a larger meeting space.

 

If you are a member of the public and wish to attend, it is ESSENTIAL that you register to do so at least 24 hours in advance by emailing info@newmiltontowncouncil.gov.uk or calling 01425 619120. Numbers are capped so if you have not registered to attend, you may be refused entry at the door.

 

All current safety guidance is being followed and this includes the need to wear a mask (unless exempt) whilst you are moving into, through, and out of the building.

 

Please check the agenda for the specific meeting you are interested in, as this is where the venue will be displayed.

 

We expect to meet in alternative venues until at least 21st June 2021.
