Further to the governments COVID-19 Roadmap announcement on 22nd February 2021 which allows grassroots football and other outdoor sports to begin again from 29th March 2021, NMTC looks forward to the safe return of outdoor sport at Fawcetts Field which will re-open from 10th April. To ensure the safety of everyone all clubs wishing to use the facility must confirm that they have read the latest guidance from the FA, have updated their risk assessments accordingly and relayed this to all those involved with the club no matter what the role they are involved in.

Please remember this is not something you can choose to do it is an absolute MUST and the guidance must be fully followed.

The mitigation measures with regard to using Fawcetts Field are as follows and must be strictly adhered to.

All Clubs MUST send NMTC their updated COVID-19 Risk Assessments as soon as possible, the club name must be clearly shown on the RA. We will notify you of any changes/amendments required. The RA will not be valid until it is signed off by NMTC. Risk Assessments should be updated on a regular basis.

The changing rooms and showers will remain out of use until the end of the season and will be locked.

Training sessions will be limited to one hour with a 30-minute gap between sessions.

Pitches 1 & 3 (pitch 2 may be used when 1 & 3 are not in use) are the only full sizes external pitches that will be in operation to prevent cross over of footballs, the mini pitch use will be staggered.

The training pitch will be operational on a limited basis.

NMTC staff will put up nets and place corner flags on the 11 v 11 pitches and remove after the game.

Kick off times will be staggered to minimise arrivals/departures to and from the facility – Though we have been doing this at Fawcetts since August, the updated FA guidance now recommends this too.

The public toilets will be open but will be set up for one person to use at a time, clear signage for this will be displayed.

Please remember that the 2m Social Distancing rule still applies to all not actively involved in playing the game or training. For those involved, social distancing will be observed before and after the game/training. Clear signage is displayed all around the facilities.

The rule of six must be strictly observed and applies to those actively involved before and after games or training.

Clubs must follow any instructions given by NMTC staff; we will not tolerate any abuse aimed at our staff in carrying out their duties.

Strictly no spitting, high fiving or hand shakes.

NMTC will be closely monitoring how the measures are working and will make adjustments/amendments as necessary. Please report anything untoward immediately.

These are still difficult times and though the above may seem onerous we want our facilities to be as safe as possible.

Could you please confirm ASAP that you have read the latest FA Guidance, carried out your risk assessment updates based on this, read and understand the NMTC requirements above and have relayed to all involved.

We would also like to thank you all in advance for your cooperation and assistance in keeping Fawcetts safe for all.

Kind regards,
