New Milton Residents Association

Your interests and the welfare of our community are our primary concern.

We monitor new developments, planning applications, traffic issues and have working relationships with the Town and District Council, the Police, health and education and many local groups to ensure that our community is a great place to live work and play.

We are represented on the New Milton Neighbourhood Plan Working Group and some of the projects we are involved with or sponsor include:-

* Britain in Bloom – New Milton a ‘Gold Award’ Town
* The Station, Town Centre and War Memorial floral displays
* The Wildflower Meadow on the Lymington Road
* The gold Olympic benches on the Recreation Ground in honour of our two Paralympians
* Commemorations of Battle’s Over in 2018 and the VE75 Commemorations in May 2020
* Number 1 New Milton Heritage Centre
* The Town’s Christmas Lights

Members are entitled to attend the five or six General Meetings that are held each year. (Visitors – £3.00). Topics addressed at these meetings are wide ranging, usually topical and sometimes controversial. Annually at the AGM, we take the opportunity to have a ‘Question Time’ panel of local and district Councillors, when it is your chance to raise any issues of concern and to air your views about New Milton, as a place to live, work or play.

We publish monthly a 24-page full-colour magazine which is delivered to your door for your membership fee of only £6 per annum.  The Association, through its monthly membership magazine ‘FOCUS’ is the best way of keeping in touch will all that is going on in New Milton.  Members can also sign up for an E-Mail Bulletin, which ensures that they are amongst the first to know of any major issues, warnings or developments in our town.

The social side of life is not forgotten and through the Association’s Community in Action Team, there are a number of activities each year including coach trips to popular locations, afternoon teas and much more.
