Over 100 plots are rented by residents of all ages, to grow their own vegetables, fruit and flowers. Various sizes of plots are provided at 5 sites in Becton Lane, Lower Ashley, Lymington Road, Middle Ashley and Upper Ashley . The Council are responsible for collecting the deposits and rents, carrying out inspections and ensuring the plots are actively cultivated and kept in reasonable order.
