New Milton Residents’ Association

We are a ‘not for profit’ Association that has been around for over 100 years, with no political affiliations, just the desire to represent the interests of our lovely Town.

Our area covers Ashley, Bashley, Becton, Fernhill, Barton and New Milton – the same areas covered by New Milton Parish and the New Milton Town Council.

One of our roles is to maintain close links with all three councils: Town, District and County; and we attend Town Council meetings regularly.

We also have links with the Coastal Medical Partnership, Hampshire Constabulary and local businesses and groups who have an impact on the Town.  We sit on New Milton’s Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.

Our main communication route with members is through our monthly publication, The Focus magazine, which is hand delivered to all our members by a great group of volunteers. This keeps members informed of what is going on locally.

We also have an amazing new website that links you in to all you need to know about living in New Milton.

Local groups in the Town can apply for grants from our funds. In the past year, we have supported Wheelchair Dancing, Breastfeeding Mums, The Youth Trust, The Town Christmas Lights, Hope Befriending Service, A Dementia Tea Party, Historical Walks Leaflets, The Lions Fayres and Afternoons of Music during the summer.

We hold regular meetings for members to attend and have their say and ,this year, we held our first networking group to bring local groups together to share information and get to know one another.

Members can contact us anytime and we will help if we can.  All this for just £6 a year, per household.
