New Milton Community Garden

A green space for the wellbeing of the community

The New Milton Community Garden (NMCG) provides a green space for the local community to enjoy the health benefits of growing fruit and vegetables, connecting with others and engaging with the natural environment.

Located at the Moore Close end of Fawcett’s Field, New Milton, BH25 6QX, the garden can be reached on foot from Fawcett’s Field, with parking available at the nearby football club.  Accessibility is a key part of the garden’s mandate and efforts have been made to ensure that those with limited mobility are able to access the features within the garden.

The garden is run on organic principles, with planting schemes designed to improve biodiversity by encouraging beneficial insects, birds and mammals.  Planting areas include raised beds – some of which are wheelchair accessible – ground beds and pergolas which provide space for climbing vegetables and ornamental plants.

The garden is open on Tuesday mornings 10-12 noon, Wednesdays from 2.00 to 4.00pm and Saturdays, 10-12 noon throughout the spring, summer and autumn when the garden is staffed by trustees and volunteers.

New volunteers are always welcome so if you would like to join us, please contact communitygardentrustees@gmail.com
