Yellow warning
Further details
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Hampshire ahead of Storm Austen, with strong winds and heavy rain forecast from late Thursday into Friday.
Strong winds combined with periods of heavy rain will make travelling difficult.
- Take extra care if you are travelling. Road closures may be put in place at short notice where conditions make it unsafe to travel – follow any signed diversions and do not move or drive around road closure barriers.
- Never drive through flood water. If a road is flooded, turn around and find an alternative route.
- Allow extra time for journeys and check road, bus and rail travel information before setting off.
- Dial 999 if it is an emergency and you or someone else is in danger.
